Who is eligible to apply for FAFSA?
- Students enrolling in the 18 week MEI/VCP Training
- High School Diploma or GED / International High School Diploma
- Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Judge granted political asylum
What type of financial aid is available to those students who qualify?
Pell Grants:
- Money given to you based on your earnings
- This does not have to be paid back.
- Earn it by being in school, passing your classes
Federal Student Loans:
- 6-month deferment after graduation
- Your payments will start 6 months after your last day in school
- Low Interest, you don’t need to have a qualifying credit score
- Up to 10 years to pay it off / flexible payment plans ($50 to $80 monthly)
Parent Plus Loan:
- Parents can borrow from the Dept. of Education an amount that is not covered by financial aid.
- This is only available to those students who are under 24.
- Parents do not need a qualifying credit score to be eligible
- Up to 10 years to pay it off / flexible repayment terms
