Segment 4: Paint Correction

Students will expand their exterior detailing knowledge and learn about Paint Correction. They will learn to use a dual action buffer, selecting the right pads, and complete Extensive hands-on practice in class. They will learn about the vehicle’s paint system and common paint defects that are found on the exterior of the vehicle. They will learn about compounds and polishes, understand the difference between polishes and waxes, buffing and compounding, special considerations for different paint types and colors, inspecting the vehicle, and get plenty of hands-on practice in this area. All topics will be demonstrated by the instructor followed by hands-on practice by the students.
