Auto Detailing is introduced to students and its benefits to both customers and detailing professionals. Students will be taught safety precaution methods that should be taken with tools and equipment, chemicals and vehicles. Students will also learn how to read material safety data sheets and inspect a vehicle prior to performing the service. Detailing the exterior of the vehicle will be the primary focus of Phase 1, as well as correcting minor to moderate paint imperfections. In addition, they will learn how and when to use all tools, compounds and become familiar with different distributors. By the end of Phase 1, students will be able to safely and effectively wash and detail the entire exterior of a vehicle, correct paint imperfections and remove scratches as demonstrated through hands-on assessment.
