Segment 9: Starlight Headliners
In this segment, students will learn to remove a headliner and prepare it for sta
rlight installations. They will then complete the installation in the car. Students will learn to prepare the lights to be installed in a way that is sleek and subtle. The lights should not be visible when they are off and are not detectable by looking up at or feeling the headliner fabric. This technique requires a high amount of skill, precision, and delicate handling, maintained over the course of laying potentially hundreds, if not thousands of delicate fiber optics into a vehicles’ headliner.
